It was another day for guest archers at Thirladean on Sunday, as the Ettrick Forest club hosted the BLBS Harvest Clout competition.

Once again, Kilwinning’s Scott Notman proved top shot on the gents’ clout with 45 hits, for a score of 119, including two clouts, while Inverness’ Barbara Campbell grabbed the ladies’ title with an imperious 49, 134, 2.

Bronze medal winners were Alan Beattie and the home club’s Martin Stillie for the gents, and Ina Morris and Selkirk’s own Elaine Pearson for the ladies.

And local lad Kyle Fairbairn kept up his good form by taking the junior title, notching up a 28, 59, 1. And in the best ends shoot-off. visitors were again in form, with Bill Campbell and Elaine Smith winning their respective titles. As was the case last week, two clouts were scored in the shoot-off, both on the shorter target. Marker Doug Anderson played the traditional role of dying man splendidly.
