Charity wins £1,200 at golf

Generous golfers raised £12,00 in a charity competition held over the Monksford course to raise funds for Tony Conway who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease last year.

The overall winners were Keith Purves, Brian Reid Snr, Brian Reid Jnr, Gavin Henderson. Nearest the pin 1st/10th: Ian Clark. Nearest the pin 6th/15th: George Douglas. Longest drive 8th/17th: Angus Forbes. Wuiden spuin: Stewart Purves, Vince Beavon, Andrew Black, Michael Blair. The organisers are grateful to all the sponsors who contributed towards making the day a huge success – J.C.
