It was a busy weekend for all at Braidwood Sporting Clays on Sunday as the winter season came to a close.

The first round saw Sandy Burn (Jedburgh) with a score of 34 ex-40 take the Best of the Rest Trophy, along with his green cap. Four guns just behind, on a score of 32, were Tam Patterson (Galashiels), Davie Craig (Edinburgh), Bobby Bruce and Stuart Donaldson (Musselburgh), with Jim Watt (unknown) in third place, scoring 31. Brothers Paul and Dave Allison (Hawick) had a joint fourth-place score of 30.

Donaldson shot well to secure him top spot in the second round with a score of 32 ex-40.

Donaldson’s overall score was enough to see him taking the aggregate of 64 ex-80.
