GALA maintained their position at the top of East League Division Two with a fine display in the field for a seven-wicket win over Largo.
Kris Mein and Dean Moir removed both openers without a run on the board.
Moir then dismissed Robin Brown before being replaced by Robbie Pringle – who took two quick wickets as Largo slipped to 32 for five. Neil Crooks then picked up his only wicket when Alex Anderson left a ball that took his off-stump.
Jack Halls replaced Crooks and had key man Andy Warrender caught by Gregor Mein.
Brent Bentley went back to a Halls delivery and was bowled, and Moir had Robertson run out before Pringle picked up his third wicket.
Chasing 86 for victory, Gala made a cautious start to their reply before Bentley got past the defence of Stevie Halls, and Josh Irvine went soon after as Gala slipped to 21 for two.
Duncan Millar then fell for 15, but Neil Crooks (19 not out) joined Graeme Ormiston (38 not out) to see Gala home.
