Borders athletes impress in Perth

Border runners were well to the fore at Perth Highland Games on Sunday.

Jedburgh’s Tommy Finkle won the 90 metres handicap while TLJT athlete Greg Turnbull claimed the 90m Championship.

Rory Anderson of Hawick came in first in the 800 metres with Innerleithen’s Dean Whiteford doing the business in the 1600.

Jed-Forest AC recorded a 1, 2, 3, in the Youths 90m with Aidan Bambrick taking the title ahead of clubmates Shelley Fojic and Rory Cowan. Also from the Chico Woods school, Ellie Cooper triumphed in the Youths’ 800m.
