THE highlight of last weekend’s Winter Woollies competitions was Alan Brown’s hole-in-one at the ninth.
His nine-iron shot flew to within nine inches of the hole and then walked the rest.
What a nice way to solve his putting problems.
Three golfers recorded net 31s to share first prize – two regular winners, Mitch Thomson and Tom Welsh, and a newcomer to the winner’s enclosure, Ronnie Douglas.
Jimmy Rae continued his fine form with a net 32.
Four golfers had twos to win a golf ball each from coach Murray Cleghorn.
Only one golfer had the necessary skills to hole-out in one and he gets three golf balls. AM
