GREG Fairley is set to get back in the saddle tomorrow for the 127th Tradesmen’s Handicap at Hawick’s two-day Common Riding meeting.
The Teri jockey was banned from racing for 12 years last December after an investigation into corruption.
However, Fairley will ride Volare as flapping does not come under Jockey Club rules.
Last year’s Tradesmen’s winner, My Way, is a non-runner, but its winning jockey Gary Berridge is on Acannacanoe, which is among the favourites for the seven-furlong contest.
Saturday’s big race is the Buccleuch Handicap at 1.15pm.
