Hawick United 4

WALLS CUP FIRST ROUND

TURNING on the style, United marched into the second round of the Walls Cup in a convincing manner.

After latching on to a Joss Low cross, Kevin Strathdee put the Teries ahead by rounding the Earlston keeper and shooting home. Scott Storrie then stuck away a second and seconds from the interval Rio Rashrash got his first goal for United when nodding in a Kevin Strathdee cross.

Following the break United keeper Dean Fry thwarted Rhymers with a top-notch save.

Shortly afterwards, however, Earlston did reduce the leeway. United hit back smartly and Terry Storrie put the issue beyond doubt by scoring a fourth.
