ON TOP throughout, United broke the deadlock when Aaron Swailes produced a well-struck shot into the top corner of the net.
Sean Owens then put the home men further ahead, beating the Hotspur keeper with a header. United continued to look the part and Ross Scott got his name on the scoresheet with a penalty after Michael Moir had been upended in the box.
Hotspur reduced the leeway, but Moir restored United’s three-goal lead by heading in a Swailes free kick. Scott made it a nap hand for United with a sweetly-struck drive.
