Peebles Rovers kicked off the new season by staging a brave fightback in their Qualifying League game against Duns at Whitestone Park.
The Dingers got off to the perfect start with striker Michael Robinson, who has been in prolific form in pre-season, giving them the lead after just five minutes.
The Berwickshire side then doubled their advantage after 29 minutes through Des Chisholm to lead 2-0 at half-time.
A few choice words by manager John O’Hara and Peebles came flying out of the blocks after the restart, and within 15 minutes, they were level.
A period of sustained pressure paid off and, when the ball broke loose out of the Duns box, Jim Young drove an unstoppable strike into the top corner of Paul Tansey’s net, before Scott Sutherland landed the equaliser when running onto a cleverly-clipped pass from Chris Malcolm.
