SANDERSON CUP QUARTER-FINALS

A GOAL in each half of the game earned Legion Rovers a place in the semi-final of the Sanderson Cup.

Player/manager Luke Cooper grabbed Rovers first goal in beating the Tweedmouth keeper with a diving header on meeting an Andrew Tinlin cross.

In the second period Tweedmouth had two players sent off during a 10-minute period.

Twelve minutes from time John Shankie sealed victory for Rovers with a raging drive that zipped into the top corner of the 
net.
