Peebles continued their domination of the East of Scotland First Division table on Saturday with a convincing win over Eyemouth United.
Manager John O’Hara was convinced of nothing after 45 minutes, but whatever he said at half-time galvanised his team into action and produce the goods in the second period.
Peebles went ahead early in the game through Scott Sutherland before conceding a sloppy goal to go in 1-1 at the break. Rovers appeared much sharper following the interval team talk and Jordan Finnie put the visitors in front again before Frankie Arthur chipped the home keeper from 20 yards to stretch the lead.
Now in total control, Peebles added a further goal when Sutherland was brought down in the box and Sean Conaghan tucked away the resulting penalty.
O’Hara told TheSouthern: “I was really disappointed in our work rate in the first half, but all in all, it was a good three points in a difficult place to play.”
