FOUR Peebles Rovers rebels may find themselves in hot water with the Scottish Football Association after turning out for other clubs in pre-season friendlies.
Former assistant manager Kevin Martin, along with Keith Harper, Bruce Callan and Elliot Black, were all involved in an failed attempted coup against current manager Stuart Robertson and had made it known to the Whitestone Park club that they intended to leave.
And last weekend, Harper, Callan and Black played for Craigroyston in a pre-season friendly while Martin pulled on a Preston Athletic shirt, breaking strict SFA regulations in the process.
Robertson told us: “We asked the SFA for advice on the matter and they are looking into it.
“If a player is signed for us they can’t play – or even train – with another club until they are released.
“None of the four of them have been released.”
Only Harper has officially submitted a request to be released – which will take 28 days for clearance.
