O’Hara has high hopes of fourth place finish

Peebles Rovers entertain Ormiston in an East of Scotland First Division clash at Whitestone Park on Saturday, writes John Slorance.

And, as far as Rovers are concerned, it’s a match of great importance where they will be gunning for full points to maintain their joint fourth place in the league.

Manager John O’Hara told The Southern: “It would be great to finish in fourth and hopefully we can achieve this.

“We didn’t play particularly well against Burntisland Shipyard last Saturday and won, but performed extremely well against Easthouses Lily in the King Cup on Tuesday and lost 4-3.

“If we can put up a show like this against Ormiston I think we have a good chance of pulling off another win.”

Rovers are without the suspended Greg Shortreed and Chris Lockhart is unavailable.

Kelso United are at home to Burntisland Shipyard and, for the first time this season, manager Prof Blaikie has the luxury of selecting from a full-strength squad.

In the Lowland League, Selkirk host Whitehill Welfare at Yarrow Park, while Vale of Leithen travel to tackle Dalbeattie Star.
