Hibs Girls footballer Morgan Turner celebrated her Rowan Boland Memorial grant in style with a derby victory.
The 14-year-old from Galashiels picked up a cheque for £300 from the trust last Wednesday to assist with her travel costs with the Easter Road under-15 side.
And 24 hours later she made the League Cup final after the Hibees defeated city rivals Hearts 3-0 in the semi-finals.
Morgan will be hoping to claim her second League Cup in a row, after winning the same competition as well as the Scottish Cup with Hibs Under-15s last season, alongside fellow Galalean Ellie Fairgrieve.
The Galashiels Academy pupil travels across Scotland to play matches, and also trains with the South East regional squad. She was also selected last year for a Scotland Under-15s training camp.
Others to pick up grants from the trust this month were: Galashiels Judo Club members Holly Shepherd and Ewan Jones, who received £150 each, footballer Aiden Black from Stow (£200), Eyemouth badminton player Jodie Black (£250), Ednam highland dancer Bethany Smail (£150) and Ancrum downhill mountainbiker Harris Mackie (£100).

Meanwhile, the trust and Gala Harriers host the Meigle Run tomorrow (May 2), with a junior 5km fun walk and a new 10km run all taking place.
Registration is from 5pm at Gala Cricket Club.
