Home Town: Hawick
Position: Centre defence
Club: Hearts Under-17s
Coaches: Charles Pearce, Pauline Hamill
Best moment in sport so far: Hard call between my first cap for Scotland at under-15 level or winning the Under-15 Scottish Cup with Hawick High School. Both were amazing.
Aims for the next 12 months: Remaining in the national squad and hopefully helping them qualify for the European championships. Winning the Senior Scottish Cup with the school and winning the league with Hearts.
How does the ASP help you most: Strength and conditioning twice a week with Stuart Paton is improving my performances. Also, access to physio and massage has been a great help.
Who in sport most inspires you: David Beckham. He’s amazing!
FavOURITE sporting moment of all time: Brazil v USA game in the 2011 Women’s World Cup. It was the quarter-finals and the referee was terrible. The game went to penalties and I was screaming at the TV. However USA progressed after a well-deserved win.
Best thing about your sport: Meeting new people. I’ve made some lifetime friends that I would never have met otherwise.
... but dislike: Travelling. Because I live in the Borders I have to travel up to an hour and a half to get to training and don’t get back until late at night. It’s a good laugh, though.
If not in this sport, would like to compete in: I used to play hockey and badminton, so them I suppose.
Usual pre-competition meal: Usually a pasta and chicken concoction or cereal and toast.
Food dislikes: Mushrooms and prawns.
Best motivational song or track: Anything on my iPod, really.
... but turn off/leave the room to: Classical.
Competition superstition or odd routine: I have lucky pants that I wear for every game.
When not competing or training I like to: Go out with friends and relax or sleep.
