Linton win battle of the Spurs

Linton Hotspur 3

Gala Hotspur 2

BAL DIVISION B

IN the battle of the Hotspurs, the West Linton version came out on top, thanks to an 87th minute winner.

Linton took the lead early on before Gala’s Lee Brown pulled the scores level at half-time.

The home side once again reclaimed the lead, but Brown equalised for the visitors for the second time.

It appeared both sides would have to settle for a draw, but Linton claimed a late winner to halt Gala’s run of three wins on the bounce.

Best player for Gala was goalkeeper Glen Murray, who produced a series of impressive saves.
