HONOURS were even after this cracking league game.
Greenlaw were the better team in the first half and took the lead after some poor defending by Kelso.
But Greenlaw failed to capitalise on their dominance and Scott Brown pulled the Tweedsiders level just before half time.
Kelso gained the upper hand in the second half and captain Sean Sutherland slammed the ball home in-off the post to take a deserved lead. Both teams went on to miss some chances but Clark Skeldon in the Kelso goal was in inspirational form.
The referee strangely found five minutes of injury time and Kelso couldn’t hold out.
The ball went out for a Kelso goal kick, but the referee, unsighted, gave a corner, from which Greenlaw scored.
