Earlston Rhymers 2

Gala Hotspur 4

BAL DIVISION C

GALA Hotspur need three points in their final league game at Tweedmouth Amateur Colts to claim the Division C title, after a toughly-contested win at Runciman Park.

Callum Gass put Spurs one up before the hosts hit back with an equaliser.

But Gala restored their lead when Dean Keddie’s shot from a corner was tapped home by Stewart Robertson.

The visitors were on top after the interval, but were caught on the break, allowing the Rhymers to make it 2-2.

Yet Gala showed some spirit to fight back again as Keddie’s header from a corner was knocked in by Gass for his second.

And the three points were sealed when Lee Brown’s flick-on from a long ball found Luke Gierus, who slotted the ball into the net.

Provided CFC Bowholm do not drop points in their final three league games, Gala need to win at Tweedmouth to clinch the Division C title.
