ON A park with a heavy surface, Eyemouth got off to a flying start by opening the scoring in the first minute through an excellent headed goal.
Legion took this in their stride, however, and began to run the show through some relentless attacks, only to be kept at bay by a string of superb saves from the visiting keeper.
Eyemouth then sent Legion reeling through a second strike in a breakaway raid.
However, after long spells of pressure the home side eventually got a goal. After latching onto a David Fraser pass, Callum Hope was upended in the box. It was a penalty all the way and Hope duly netted from the spot.
Boosted by this, the Teries began to push for an equaliser and, with 10 minutes of the game remaining, it arrived. In a hectic goalmouth scramble Darrell Johnstone found the net with a close-range shot that went in off the post.
