Hawick amateurs

A late penalty earned Eyemouth full points, winning the B Division table-top battle against Hawick Legion by 3-2.

Legion drew first blood through Callum Hope. After Eyemouth equalised, Legion regained their lead through a Liam Lavery strike. Eyemouth drew level again and then went to grab a dramatic winner with a spot kick.

Legion Rovers sailed to a 4-0 victory in their away clash with St Boswells in the C Division. Chay Caldwell put Rovers ahead in the first half and within two minutes, rattled away a second. After the break, Sean Clarke added to Rovers’ tally while substitute Louis Johnstone completed the scoring.

Hawick United breezed to a 6-0 triumph over Earlston Rhymers at Wilton Lodge Park. Robbie Kelly put United ahead and shortly afterwards Grant Ferguson hit in a second. An Earlston player was then ree-carded for handling a net-bound Kevin Strathdee shot.

Strathdee scored the penalty and went on to net a further twice to complete his hat-trick.

Goalkeeper Dean Fry got United’s sixth, making no mistake with a penalty.
