An injury time goal by Richard Kirwan denied Gala Fairydean Rovers a point at Broadwood Stadium.

The victory means Cumbernauld Colts go into their Scottish Cup third round tie against Stirling Albion next week full of confidence, having now gone nine games unbeaten.

A poor first half saw Jamie Barclay hit the crossbar for Cumbernauld while Stuart Noble penalty claim waved away for Gala.

Andrew Ward scored immediately after half time for Colts but Gala fought back and equalised with ten minutes to go through Jamie Gibson.

But Kirwan’s late, late strike saw Cumbernauld pick up the three points.
