SELKIRK’S battle with relegation continues, despite another defeat at Muirhouse.

Bryan Templeton’s team were 2-0 down within 10 minutes, and never recovered.

But Preston Athletic’s defeat at Edinburgh City means the Souters’ fight against the drop goes to the last day of the season.

Danny Rennie and James Robertson gave the hosts a comfortable lead, despite Jamie Gibson and Tong Craggs being denied by Stuart Burnside stops.

Striker Des Sutherland was denied two spot-kicks after strong claims that he was fouled by Burnside and had a shot hit the arm of Lofti Barbirou.

However, the match was finished as a contest midway through the second half as Craig Dickson latched onto a long ball to score past John Dodds.

Selkirk could not even manage a consolation, as Sutherland saw his shot smack off the Strollers crossbar.
