Scotland age group footballer Morgan Turner is just one of many local young sports stars to receive Rowan Boland Memorial Trust awards this month.
The 15-year-old Hibs midfielder from Galashiels was picked for the under-16 national squad to play in an Algarve tournament in February.
And she has now netted a £500 grant from the trust to help with training and travel costs throughout the season.
Others to benefit from trust grants include Galashiels disability swimmer Finlay Lindores. A Scottish junior champion, Finlay received £500.
Hawick downhill mountainbiker Corey Watson was handed £300 to continue his progress, with the 15-year-old currently ranked 11th in Britain in his age group.
In addition, Galashiels judo player Monica Riddell received £150 to help her attend a training camp with top coaches from Europe.
The trust was also handed £300 by Cash It In following a competition held by the Galashiels shop.
