GALA Fairydean Rovers are stepping up their pre-season build-up with three home games in seven days.
East of Scotland League outfit Eyemouth United are the visitors to Netherdale on Saturday, kick off 3pm, for what is likely to be a stern test.
This will be followed by an exciting fixture against Dunfermline Athletic on Thursday, July 17,(kick off 7pm) when Jim Jefferies will be returning to his managerial roots.
Bonnyrigg Rose are the opponents on Saturday, July 19, at the 3G Arena before the squad heads up the A7 to face Arniston Rangers on Saturday, July 26.
Gala have been handed a tough start to this season’s Lowland League campaign with two away trips to face Preston Athletic(Saturday, August 2) and Vale of Leithen(Wednesday, August 6) before home matches against Spartans(Saturday, August 9) and Whitehill Welfare(Wednesday, August 13).
But manager Steven Noble can’t wait for the action to get started for real.
And although he has already brought five new faces to Netherdale, he is still hoping to add one or two more signings to strengthen his squad before the big kick off.
He said: “Pre-season has been going well and all the players are working to get fit.
“We now have a busy schedule of home friendlies coming up and the purpose is to give of all the lads game time.
“The publication of the league fixtures has handed us a tough start but at Lowland league level it was always going to be the case.”
Admission to Saturday’s game against Eyemouth is £3 with concessions £1 and children under 16 free if accompanied by an adult.
Please note, the only access to the bar and canteen area before the game will be through the turnstile gate at the cafe side of the stadium.
