Vaulters on a high at Perth

LAUDERDALE Vaulting Group enjoyed a successful outing to Perth recently.
In the huge under-14 class, Angus Runciman came out a clear winner on Bart Simpson – his first win as an individual. Close behind in second was Stacey Macpherson and third was Shannon Purves, both on Bart Simpson. All three also competed on Tigga and
Angus finished fifth, Stacey sixth and Shannon sevenh.

In the canter freestyle-only class Jeannie Robertson won first place on board Macrobert.com and also came second on Tigga. Emma Counsel finished in sixth place on Tigga in her first canter class and Gaby Purves, also cantering for the first time, finished 10th. Angus and Stacey also won the canter pairs class on Macrobert.com, lunged by Rebecca Morgan.

The pre-novice team of CJ Bell, Charlie Lochhead, Jeannie Robertson, Troy Bell, Euan Macfarlane, Emma Counsell and Gaby Purves finished in third place on Macrobert.com and also came third in the team with a theme, in which Angus Runciman, Stacey Macpherson, Shannon Purves, Molly Ivanov, Camilla Home and Alexi Macfarlane finished fourth on Macrobert.com, lunged by Julie Purves.

In the competitive walk classes, Troy Bell won his first individual in the nine and under section. Competiton first-timers Camilla Home and Molly Ivanov were fourth and fifth respectively.

In the 10-12 section Charlie Lochead came in fifth place from 20 competitors.

The vaulters are now looking forward to summer camp in July.
