The event, hosted by the Scottish Youth Motocross Club, was very much a meeting of two halves with Saturday's showers making the track a mudbath.

On Sunday, the club did a wonderful job of preparing the track with a bulldozer and the weather stayed fine for some spectacular racing.

Due to the muddy conditions, the Auto 50cc riders had a makeshift track constructed for them for Saturday and on Sunday they used part of the main track.

Aiden Campbell took the honours with Arron MacDonald chasing him all the way. In the Junior 65cc class, runaway championship leader Jay Lamb made the most of the conditions on both Saturday and Sunday to record five straight victories, with runner-up spots being taken by Kyle Peebles, Conor Curran and Oscar Cochrane.

Ryan Livingstone extended his lead in the 85cc Small Wheel championship with three victories, while Ian Stewart and Fraser Pohlen took a win apiece. Matthew Flemming totally dominated the 85cc Big Wheel class with Cameron Pendreich keeping him honest on Saturday and Peter Graham and Daniel Monks doing the chasing on Sunday.

The Schoolperson's 125 and MX2 classes were run together and, as is becoming a bit of a habit, Ryan McLean was the boy to beat on his smaller 125cc two-stroke, winning the races outright and taking the class with ease.

Chasing him on his 144 KTM was Gary Sharp, but a no-score in race three left the door open for Mark Perfect to take the overall victory for the weekend.

The adults all had three races on the Sunday and enjoyed the best of the conditions, with both MX2 and open classes being run together.

Sean McDonald cruised to three easy MX2 victories, with Ryan Blair picking up second and Joe Garrick third.

Gavin Robertson romped to three victories on his 250cc two-stroke in the open class for victory over Jon Williamson and Simon Graham.
