Selkirk Canoe Club members went to Alva to compete in the Scottish Schools competition recently.
Vicky Ross did very well in her divisional competition, coming away with a medal, while Alice Haining, following in her clubmate Janine Dickie's paddle strokes over the last two years won the same trophy for first junior under-18 woman.

Janine could not compete this year, being to old (at only 17), but she and Alice both competed last weekend at Cardington Bedford in the British Championships where Alice came first junior-14 and Janine came second junior-18.
