JogEarlston were back in action again as the JogScotland 5k Challenge series visited the capital last week.
Competing in the second of the evening's two races, former international hill runner John Wilkinson was across the line in second place for the club in a time of 17.54 while Jackie McPhee followed her quick run in the Borders 5k with a time of 24.00.

The same race saw the injured Raymond Hay return in a time of 25.39, just pipping Andrew Lang (25.42) to the line. From a field of 628 runners, Lesley Manderson finished well in 236th in 27.13.

In all, JogEarlston fielded 10 runners, most of whom toasted their efforts at an Edinburgh restaurant before heading home.

With the club soon to enter its third year, the personal achievements of all the club's joggers and runners during this time is testament to the hard work of Caroline McDermott and the jog leaders at JogEarlston.

Joggers of all abilities rarely number under 20 each week when the club meets at Earlston Rugby Club each Wednesday at 7pm.
