KELSO Crawlers certainly were not crawling at the Edinburgh Great 10km Run on Sunday.
In very humid conditions, 16 runners did themselves proud with several personal bests – as well as some new jog/runners taking on the challenge for the first time.

Old hand Jake Paterson was first home in a fantastic time of 54.17 with Lindsay McL
eish and sister Stacey Paterson coming in on 59.05.

All the rest of the runners came home in respectable times just outside of the one-hour mark. Times: Pam Gillie 1.18; Lynne Hook 1.08; Paula Gillie 1.11; Nicola Purvis 1.12; Ros McGiukin 1.12; Angela Martin 1.08; Gemma Gaunt 1.02; Delia Howlet 1.06; Darren Howlet 1.06; Stella Lethangie 1.07; Ian Lethangie 1.00.29 and Susan Gibson 1.07.

The club hasn't managed to get Nancy Best's time yet, but it should be a good one considering she cruises around their runs at training.

The Crawlers were also joined by Jackie McPhee from the Jogearlston group (who did 52 minutes).

It was great to see the link between the two groups.

Kelso Crawlers meet on Tuesday nights at 6pm at Abbey Fitness in Kelso and on Wednesday nights at Broomlands Primary School at 6.30pm.

For further information about the Crawlers, call Lynn Young on 01573 224296.
