DISABILITY GOLF
GOLFERS with disabilities in the Borders are being invited to play golf with the Scottish Disability Golf Partnership (SDGP).

The SDGP actively encourage and involve anyone with a disability and includes amputees, blind, deaf, those with learning
difficulties, downs syndrome, stroke and heart attack victims, wheelchair users and anyone with other serious health problems or mobility issues, of any age who wish to learn or play the sport.

The Partnership has evolved rapidly in recent years and provides golf training and competition for many hundreds of people and is this year targeting youngsters and junior members in an attempt to introduce them to the game.

SDGP events take place throughout Scotland and this year is organising more than 20 single-day events and several training sessions with PGA professionals.

Anyone interested and looking for further details, should contact the SDGP at sdgp@btinternet.com or call 07950 003 885.
