TODAY: Central Borders Members Centre of the Scottish Wildlife Trust, illustrated talk by Liz Hanson – the art of nature – at 7.30pm in the Langlee Centre, Marigold Drive, Galashiels.

SUNDAY: Coldstream Ramblers walk: Hethpool, St Cuthbert's Way, Elsdonburn, Wideopen, Trowupburn, Great Hetha; 10
