Thank you to all who generously contributed at the Teenage Cancer Trust coffee morning in Jedburgh – £558.75 has been sent to the charity.
The trust is raising funds to reach its goal of ensuring that every young person in Scotland has access to one of its life-changing specialist units, such as the one at the Western General in Edinburgh.
Every day in the UK up to six teenagers or young adults (between the ages of 13 and 24) find they have cancer – approximately 2,100 new cases each year. These young people in the midst of their already-difficult journey into adulthood suddenly find themselves facing a possible life-threatening illness and very often receiving treatment in inappropriate facilities with inadequate support options.
Family and friends of the late Martin Wylie would like to take this opportunity to express a huge thank you for support in raising this money.
