YOUNGSTERS from Kelso, Jedburgh, Morebattle and Yetholm are being invited to a youth festival next week.
The four-day event, which starts on Monday, has been organised by the Yetholm Dry Bar and will centre around the village, but also includes a day at Coldingham Bay.
Monday starts with team games in the morning, followed by clown and circus skills in the afternoon. Tuesday morning brings ‘recofash’ when festival-goers are asked to bring up to three unwanted items of clothing to be refashioned.
Wednesday’s topics are photography and archery, with orienteering the following day. On Friday, those wanting to go to the Berwickshire beach for games should meet at Town Yetholm bus shelter at 8am.
The programme and registration forms are available from Seasons of Kelso and the village shops in Morebattle and Yetholm.
Meanwhile, Ian Rendall Reid is calling on anyone with a working sewing machine to lend it to the festival on Tuesday to make their fashion design day a success.
