Could we say a huge thank you to everyone who is helping us to promote our employment project.
Special thanks to our committee members Duncan and Hazel for the miles they are travelling to post our leaflets and talk to business owners and workers, to Rob Oliver for his design, printing and advice of our leaflets, and to the venues we will be using throughout 2013 to host our employers’ events.
These are free and open to all employers, business owners, employment support agencies, individuals on the autistic spectrum and potential colleagues of those individuals.
The first event is on March 8 in the Salmon Room of the Buccleuch Arms Hotel, St Boswells, the second in the Marshall Meadows Hotel, near Berwick, on July 5 and the final one in the Park Hotel, Peebles, on October 25. To book a place contact me either by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or telephone (01896 668961).

We would like to thank Poppy collectors, hotels and shops which displayed poppies and collecting tins in Melrose, Darnick, Gattonside and Newstead, and St Mary’s, Melrose, Tweedbank and Lilliesleaf schools for their valuable efforts during the weeks leading up to Remembrance Sunday.
We would also like to thank everyone in the Melrose area who gave so generously to the Poppy Appeal.
The total sum raised from collections was £2,674. In addition, £754 was donated at the Remembrance Sunday service collection in Melrose Parish Church and £81 at the service in Darnick. This was an excellent total of £3,509.

May I thank all who came along to support the Christmas coffee morning in Cappercleuch Hall on November 24.
More than £480 was raised for hall funds and we were grateful to local businesses and friends for donations to the raffle, baking and craft stalls, and to Steve Kendal for entertaining everyone on the accordion.
