TheSouthern has teamed up with the new-look Singing Kettle to giveaway two sets of family tickets to its Kelso show.

New girl Anya Scott-Rodgers joins Gary Coupland and Kevin Macleod in the line-up, following the retirement of Cilla Fisher and Artie Trezise.

Hailing from Glasgow, Anya won music awards at school in Lanark and Wishaw before attending Glasgow University to study English Literature and Theatre Studies.

She went on to pick up further qualifications from Glasgow’s College of Nautical Studies and Reid Kerr College in acting, production and technical theatre respectively.

Anya can play a plethora of instruments, including a frog guiro, and has previously toured with the Baldy Bane theatre company.

At Kelso, Anya, Gary and Kevin set off on an adventure deep into the undergrowth for Rumble in the Jungle.

A Singing Kettle spokeswoman said: “Follow the jungle beat on the hunt for magical coloured kettles and find clues for songs that will captivate and enthrall the whole family.

“There is music and mayhem, old friends and new, with plenty to sing about along the way. Packed with Singing Kettle favourites such as Leap Frog, Do Your Ears Hang Low, Friends Like You and Bear Hunt.

“Roars of laughter, fun-filled and action-packed, combined with the sheer energy of the Singing Kettle, make Rumble in the Jungle a must-see family show in 2013.

“Bonzo the Dog causes pandemonium with his mischievous monkeying around as the intrepid explorers uncover hilarious surprises under thousands of funky ferns and behind every banana tree.

“This non-stop, totally awesome safari adventure is a festival of fun for girls and boys of all ages.”

Kids are invited to come dressed as their favourite wild animal to join in the singalong next month.
