TWIN towns Selkirk and Plattling made music together during the Bavarian’s latest visit to the Royal Burgh.
The German “friends” band played at Selkirk Rugby Club as did Borders band Gael Force during the four-day exchange.
The visit, which included a tour of the Glenkinchie whisky distillery for the group of 15 from Plattling, was covered in the Bavarians’ local papers.
The report said: “A taste of the excellent single malt shouldn’t be missed” and that the evening at the rugby club was “fantastic”.
And it quoted Peter Lochmahr, chairman of Plattling’s twinning committee, as saying: “There are now many new friendships and we always want something happening every year between the twin towns.
“It is always much work, but when we see the result, you like to do this work very much!”
