Tweedbank Playgroup’s class of 2013/14 celebrated their graduation in style on Tuesday, with the children being piped into the hall by lone Piper Norrie Smith.
The youngsters took great pride in following Norrie, singing Flower of Scotland, Wind the Bobbin Up and the very apt One More Step along the World We Go.
They all wore their capes and mortar boards, as is the fashion, and each were presented with their very own certificate.
The main aim of Tweedbank Playgroup is to encourage each individual child to enjoy their childhood in a secure, caring environment where success is recognised and learning is encouraged.
The playgroup is situated in the Tweedbank Community Centre and is an integral part of the local community.
It is registered to take children from two to five years of age, while children with special educational needs are welcome and will be individually assessed.
The playgroup, which is a member of the Scottish Pre-School Play Association (S.P.P.A) and works in partnership with Scottish Borders Council, is open during the school term on Monday to Friday mornings (8.30am-11.40am) and afternoons (12.30pm-2pm) as required.
Contact the playgroup regarding afternoon sessions.
