THE Trinity Belles (pictured) return to Hawick next weekend with three performances.
This year’s line up includes five Trinity Belles and one young man. They are advanced and postgraduate students who all study with Andrew Sherwood at Trinity College of Music in London.
Andrew said: “The students benefit greatly from this experience and they always enjoy playing to the warm and enthusiastic Hawick audiences.”
They will be spending a week studying and making music on a farm near Lilliesleaf accompanied by Jim Letham, the well known Borders pianist and accomplished composer.
Trinity Belles will perform two free lunchtime recitals in Beanscene on Friday, April 8 and Saturday, April 9, both at 12.30pm. The following day a concert will be held in the Heart of Hawick auditorium.
Their programme will include classical favourites by Kreisler and Sarasate, Beethoven, Bruch and Tchaikovsky.
Gordon Macdonald of Hawick Music Club said: “These are highly talented students who bring to their performances the enthusiasm and vigour of youth. This will be an inspiring three days.”
Tickets for Sunday’s concert are £6 (£4.50 concessions) and are available in advance from www.thebooth.co.uk, phone 01450 360688, or visit the box office in Tower Mill.
