A MOTORCYCLIST was been badly hurt when his bike and a car collided on the A68 in the Scottish Borders, writes Bob Burgess.
The unnamed biker was taken to Borders General Hospital with leg and internal injuries.
Doctors decided to transfer him to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he underwent emergency surgery.
He was driving a Harley Davidson northwards at around 5.30pm on Wednesday when the accident happened near the junction for Ancrum between Jedburgh and St Boswells.
The driver of of Chevrolet Cruze was treated for a minor hand injury at the Borders General and allowed home.
A police investigation into the two-vehicle crash is underway.
