Police Scotland have named the woman who died in a fatal road collision in Peebles yesterday morning (October 2) at around 11am.
Eighty-three-year-old Williamina Crow, known locally as Wilma, was a passenger in a Honda Civic that collided with a wall in Greenside. She died later that afternoon at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh. The 84-year-old driver was seriously injured and also taken to ERI by ambulance.
Police closed the road for around three-and-a-half hours while they conducted an investigation at the scene.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone who witnessed the collision or has information that can assist police is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
