Biker injured in Scottish Borders crash now said to be stable

A MOTORCYCLIST seriously injured in a crash yesterday is now said to be out of danger, writes Bob Burgess.

After emergency treatment at the Borders General Hospital the unnamed man was transferred to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for surgery.

He sustained serious leg and internal injuries in Wednesday’s crash on the A68 near the Ancrum junction between Jedburgh and St Boswells.

The man - who was on a Harley Davidson which was in collision with a car – is now said to be in a stable condition with no cause for concern. He’s being treated for badly broken leg.

The driver of a Chevrolet Cruze which was the other vehicle involved sustained a minor hand injury and was allowed home after treatment at the Borders General.
