We are hearing more and more that tourism is not doing too well in Scotland, mainly because of the bad weather, but there are other factors.
On visiting Jedburgh last Thursday, we found out what could be one possible cause.
Wanting a coffee at approximately 9.30am, we found two cafes would not be opening until the magical hour of 10am. In the holiday period? Come on, Jedburgh traders, surely you can do better than that.
However, one marvellous little shop – The Jedburgh Chocolate House – was open. A warm welcome, the most delicious lemon drizzle cake and coffee, and loads of mouth-watering chocolates.
Well done – and we will visit you often in the future.
