On Monday (July 14) TD1 Radio will launch its 52-hour radiothon, to help raise much needed funds
This is the station’s biggest year to date as it launches on FM, with the station reliant on funding and donations to keep programming on air.
So at 6am, Steve Paterson is starting a 52-hour radio show. Over the period, Steve will be joined by other presenters, including Ruairidh Tait, Diane Pender, Callum Patterson, David Henderson, Andrew McEwan and Donald Strachan, with more still to be confirmed.
There will be plenty to keep listeners entertained, and there will also be some surprises. The radiothon will be broadcast live between 6am Monday until 6pm on Tuesday from The Pop Up Shop on Channel Street, Galashiels, so if you are passing, pop in and say hello!
The final leg of the showwill come live from TD1’s own studio, with the event ending at 10am on Wednesday, July 16.
Steve will also be chatting to special guests, including Brendan from Wheatus, Allison from The South, Jai McDowall (winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2011) and local MP Michael Moore.
