Talented producer marks quarter century

Galashiels Amateur Operatic Society is pulling in the crowds this week for their production of Evita.

However, this show is also a milestone for acclaimed producer and musical director Jeff Thomson, who has served the society for 25 years.

President of GAOS, Ivor Lumsden, said: “His leadership, experience, energy and encouragement continues to bring the best out of everyone involved and we hope this continues for many years to come.”

The committee took time out from rehearsals last week to present Jeff (front row, second from left) with a gift.
