THE annual graduation ceremony of the Borders campus of Heriot-Watt University will take place at Old Parish and St Paul’s Church in Galashiels tomorrow.

The event begins at 11am with an academic procession before degrees are conferred on around 100 students, including 15 hailing from the region, by Professor Alison Harley, head of the School of Textiles and Design which is based in the town.

University dean Fiona Waldron will later present special student prizes and medals ahead of the keynote annual address by the principal, Professor Steve Chapman.

A reception will be held later in nearby Old Gala House.
