MADCAP comedian Freddie Starr is making an appearance in the Borders next month – and the Southern has a pair of tickets to give away to see the stand-up performer.
The 69-year-old Scouser will jump back on the stage at Hawick Town Hall, as part of his Back from the Jungle tour.
Starr was forced to pull out of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here last year because of health concerns, but is now back doing what he is best known for.
It is more than 40 years since Starr appeared on TV talent show Opportunity Knocks, the big break which led to his own series.
Although no longer on TV regularly, he has featured on a series of reality shows, memorably living with former glamour model Sam Fox for Celebrity Wife Swap.
And of course, he will always be remembered for that headline – “Freddie Starr Ate My Hamster”.
Tickets for the show on Wednesday, April 18 (8pm start) are priced at £20 from www.borderevents.com or phone 01750 725480.
To win a pair of tickets, answer this question:
How old is Freddie Starr?
Send your answer, name, full address and phone number by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or post to Freddie Starr Competition, The Southern Reporter, The Hermitage, High Street, Selkirk, TD7 4DA by Thursday, April 5. Usual Southern rules apply.
