TWO stalwarts of Galashiels were made life members of the Braw Lads’ Gathering last week.
Former council leader Drew Tulley was honoured for his services to the town, while ex-clerk Marian Keith, who was 1963 Braw Lass, was thanked for her efforts with the festival over the years.
They join the likes of town crier Jim Amos, ex-presidents Colin Playfair and Gordon Keddie, and musician Chris Achenbach on the life members list
Braw Lads’ chairman David Houston said: “Both are worthy recipients.”
