A ST Boswells B&B is the best in south-east Scotland. Whitehouse Country House was named as winner of the regional final of the Scottish Thistle Awards covering Fife, Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Borders in Stirling last Thursday.
Operator Roger Tyrer said: “We are really honoured to have been chosen to receive this award”
Organised by VisitScotland, the awards celebrate excellence in the Scottish tourist industry.
The five-star B&B is owned by Roger and his wife Angela, who have been welcoming guests into their home for over 20 years.
Mrs Tyrer said: “We get visitors from throughout the UK and from many parts of the world. We do our best to give them a great experience of Scotland and in particular of the Borders.”
Mr Tyrer commented: “There is fantastic quality offered to visitors to the Borders,”
Last year, Mrs Tyrer’s cooking took the Borders Food Network award for Borders’ Best Breakfast.
The Whitehouse will contest the national finals of the awards in November.
