This year, the United Kingdom was represented by Blue at the Eurovision Song Contest in Dusseldorf, Germany.
The boy band formed in 2001 with their four members; Simon Webbe, Lee Ryan, Duncan James and Antony Costa.
In four years, they became very popular, but in 2005 the boys decided to split.
But as things are in boy band land, they got back together again in 2009 for a comeback album and tour.
And last month they sang I Can for the UK and won us a total of 100 points (10 times more than what we got last year) and 11th place on the scoreboard.
This year was the first time in the history of Eurovision where the BBC chose who performed on our behalf and I think it was good choice.
Blue revealed that I Can was written before being asked to sing at Eurovision, but they thought it was the perfect song.
It is a catchy song which, after being listened to, sticks in your mind for the rest of the day or even the week – and the lyrics really reach out, in my opinion.
The song puts across the message to never give up and have a positive attitude – Don’t think I can’t, think I Can.
“I can, I will, I know, I can, untie these hands, and get back up again.”
